Praying to God

The most wonderful thing is that when you pray and you talk to God, there is no intermediate where you can say and say , and going on in your prayers knowing that He hears your calls and your prayers. He knows so well our needs but yet praying and asking him for what we need makes us feel better , so much burden is removed from our hearts , we ask Him and there is no intermediate between you and Him , you ask him sincerely and you feel His generosity and his mercy . Praying and asking him your needs makes you feel how close He is to us.

Sometimes we have things in our selves that we dont want others to know , they may blame you , they might not understand, they may not help , but you are sure from where to call immediately who knows our weakness because He is our creator who loves us and loves hearing our call.

" And when My slaves ask you (O Muhamad صلي الله علي وسلم ) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near ( to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so they may be led aright " ( Quran : 2: 186)

"واذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدون"

This particular verse stresses the
disappearance of any mediator between us and Allah, but unfortunately the translation you provided does not help. Please check the translation on: http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/002.qmt.html

"When My servants ask thee concerning Me" the verse does not command Mohamed to answer (as usual) but God Himself provides the answer directly so the verse continues "I am indeed close..." Mohamed is not a mediator in this case.

I learnt this from Shiek Shaarawy (God bless his soul).

I honestly cannot find any words to describe what it is I feel when asking Allah something (saying Duaa). It's as if nothing in the world matters any more, not even myself.
But there's something I'm sure of... I have never felt as close as I do now. I am going through a hard crisis, one that I'm not sure my heart or mind or nerves can bear, but all I do is talk to Allah. Ask Him to end things well and strengthen my faith... I must believe that no one can ever change my destiny other than Allah... that no one can harm me if it wasn't by His knowledge and if someone did harm me, then it is a test for my faith...
All I hope for is to pass this test... and come out of it closer to Allah, and with a stronger faith than before inshaAllah.

ISA prayer will help because God is always there for you when you turn to him in need ISA "...yojeeb da3wat al modtarr iza da3ah...".

I too went through a hard time a few years ago... and it was such that I had no where to turn exept to God, and Alhamdulillah that is where I turned... and God has helped me in so many ways... and the comfort that He knows how you feel exactly at any time night or day makes you feel all the less lonely. May God be with you ISA.

also, if you would like to contribute anything to this blog, email me at doshar@yahoo.com. God bless you ISA.

people... wallahi we are the lucky ones... Those who'd rather be athiests or haven't got the means we do for prayers and suplications are the ones having the most difficult times. At least when u believe in ALLAH Sub7anaho wa ta3ala (in a one and only creator who has the power to do anything and every thing at all times) you have something at all times.. U never stay in depressions too long, bas times do not last even if bad things are still happening, u still have this inner energy you get from believing... I keep wondering, those who fall in depressions whether be they none moslems or moslems, they truely are missing out on a lot.

I for one went through so many things i would not have the time to list... But all passed with the strong faith I had back then, moreover, back then I was not such a good practicing moslem, and despite that, Allah never left me alone, He saved me from myself, he saved me from people, He let me go through things, but now when i look back, It was all for the best al hamd Lillah. Now I do not believe anything bad or difficult lasts, thanks to having faith in Allah, for being able to pray and know your prayers are definitely going directly to Him with no mediators, Thanks to knowing I can say Duaa at any time anyhere, in what ever language and I know He hears and will help me one way or the other... Thanks for being a Believer in the oness of God, For Believing in Allah almighty, the kind and compassionate.!!

Thank God for being blessed to have people like you bunch in the world and i know there are many more whom Allah will join us with isa... I do pray from the bottom of my heart that each word each one of us writes here would do someone Good, would help, would make someone stronger and would be a reason for their happiness in this short life and the eternal after life, Ameen Ameen Ameen...

**It Was That Time of Night**

Has any one of you tried doing Keyam Layl? (praying very very late, right before fajr)

For those who haven't tried it, or don't do it frequently... it's BEAUTIFUL! It's a whole new feeling about prayers that is so hard to describe!

I have only started praying Keyam Layl last week when my inshAllah-to-be-removed problem appeared... and it was like a whole new world to me!
Yesterday was very special... I was so sleepy and would have to go make wudo' to keep my eyes open and kept on telling myself: "LA3ALAHA SA3AT EJABA"= "MAYBE IT'S AN HOUR WHERE ALLAH ANSWERS ALL OUR PRAYERS", so I couldn't let myself sleep... and kept hoping and hoping and praying for all of us... the time flew like lightening... those last 2 hours before Fajr are so fast, much faster than any 2 hours all over the day!

Just imagine being there awake asking Allah anything, and everyone else is asleep, maybe the whole street is asleep!! and you're there- hopeful, fearful and close to the AlMighty Subhana wa ta'ala...

That time of night, the Prophet PBUH has told us about it, he PBUH has said in a hadith that Allah SWT descends to the sky of Earth and says: "Is there one who needs Forgiveness so I would forgive him?, Is there one who is asking for something so I would give it to him?..."

Every day of my life, at that special time of night- I was asleep... was deprived of this treasure that very few know of.

I hope you'd try it, and inshAllah you'll wake up a new person, with a purer happier soul than before.

Your sis,
Jannah
